You can find all sorts of dealers who will negotiate fair prices. There's a Kubota dealer within five miles of where I bought my Deere that will sell to me for less than Mr. Carver. That is not to say Mr. Carver's prices are improper or unfair. He seems like he is a very good dealer. It is simply a matter of getting out and seriously negotiating to the point where you are satisfied it's a good deal. I believe my dealer (and a lot of others in other areas) will beat the price of most other dealers and give good service. You just have to take the time to shop carefully and find them. The last car I saw purchased from a Ford dealer was identical to one offered at the big/low price dealership for $2,500 more. The smaller dealer knew we were serious when we started driving away. Ten minutes later he had sold a car. Take a look at some of the deals people got on Deeres from their dealers--some of them are pretty good. Try those dealers. ....

We have a very capable and competitive John Deere dealership right next door to us on Highway 301 South in Dunn, NC...ie: Harnett Tractor Co, (910)892-6171 speak to DAVID LEWIS. They're really very good and sell a lot of green painted tractors and I never hear a complaint from our mutual customers about the products or service provided by the fellows next door. Both, our marketing efforts is based on providing excellence in the mix of value, service, flexibility. Come on over check us both out. We'll take our best shot / as will the friendly folks in the GREEN SHIRTS.At the end of the day -- the prices will be very close and most folks make a purchasing decision motivated by another issue. The issue maybe (and is for many folks) that they appreciate and are willing to pay a little more to the dealer who does all they can to make shopping as convienent as possible by providing internet communications.good luck -- the more folks who drive in to see them, the more will visit us too. ....
